An Academic Use License is one that is licensed: (i) in the case of employees (faculty and academic staff), for performing software administration, teaching, and non-commercial, academic research only in their ordinary course as employees; and (ii) in the case of enrolled students is used only for meeting classroom requirements of courses and study where the student is enrolled. Any other use is expressly prohibited, including but not limited to any use by any person for purposes of supporting research and development for any commercial (for-profit) entity, even if a portion of such research and development is for pure academic reason and any use by any person for purposes of supporting any governmental agencies or not-for-profit entities. |
